LCP AWARD

Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates sponsor this award for members exhibiting outstanding leadership, citizenship, cooperation and professionalism during the past 4-H year. Applications are available through the Extension Office or on the county website and are due in to the Extension by November 15. Be sure to include references with your application when it is dropped off.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The University of Illinois at Springfield and the Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission are co-sponsoring a state-wide contest in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of our 16th President. This contest is open to Illinois High school students in grades 11 and 12 attending public, private, parochial, home schools, or Illinois students enrolled in high school correspondence/GED programs during the 2008-2009 academic year. Deadline for submission of essays and creative expressions: January 2, 2009
