NORTHEAST ILL. CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION

Northeast Illinois Cattlemen's Association Scholarship

The Northeast Illinois Cattlemen's Association is accepting applications for their academic scholarship. The Cattlemen's Scholarship is offered to Juniors and Seniors in college or graduate school students studying in an Agriculture-related field of study and who reside in either McHenry or Lake Counties.

The Northeast Illinois Cattlemen's Association is made up of McHenry County beef producers who raise money through the sale of steak sandwiches at Harvard Milk Days and the McHenry County Fair. Visit our website for application materials.

HENRY MARLOWE - I DARE YOU AWARD

Henry Marlowe-I Dare You Award

The McHenry County 4-H Youth Foundation and Henry Marlowe Award is offered to recognize a 4-H youth based on leadership, scholarship, physical fitness, and character. Any youth who is a current 4-H member, 15 years of age as of September 1, 2007, and completes and turns in an application by August 26 is eligible for this award. This award receives a plaque and I Dare You Book. Applications are available at the Extension Office and on the McHenry County website. This Award is presented at the Recognition Program in the fall.

SALLY HARRISON AWARD

Sally Harrison Award

This Award is presented to a 4-H member who shows enthusiasm throughout the 4-H program. The Award focuses on these qualities: community service, enthusiasm for 4-H, and cooperation. Must be a current 4-H member, 16 years of age by September 1, 2007, and complete an Award application. Applications are available at the Extension Office and on the McHenry County website and are due to the Extension Office by August 26. The recipients receive a monetary award and plaque.
