Exploring Our Food Heritage emphasizes historical and cultural factors affecting all our food choices. Through food, it teaches the historical progression of United States settlement and respect for diversity. Food-centered activities lead to discussions about differences and similarities among all people. Foods related to America's diverse heritage are prepared. Activities in the student manuals may be done:independently, working in cooperative groups, or in a classroom setting.
