Classes are held in the Marshall-Putnam Extension Computer Lab located in the Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau building at 509 Front ST, Henry, IL

Class sizes are small and the pace is set based on the experience levels of the participants.

The lab is open to the public during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Class fees are distinguished between members and nonmembers. Members are one of the following:

Tuesday, February 17

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

This class will teach you about your digital camera. Topics covered: handling the camera, settings, memory cards, and photo composition.

Editing Digital Photos using Picasa 3

Wednesday, February 18

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Picasa is a free photo editing program that has a lot of great features and photo effects. The class will teach how to organize, crop, eliminate red eye, touch up and apply effects. The program also includes the following capabilities: web albums, printing, Blog This, movie, and collage.

Excel is a spreadsheet program. The level one class will teach the terms, navigating the program, formatting text and cells, and using basic formulas.

Excel Level 1 or equivalent skills are prerequisite to this class. Topics in this class will be freezing rows and columns, split, zoom, hide, filter, copy worksheet, inserting rows & columns, inserting clip art, formatting cells, creating charts and much more.

9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Community recreation class. Small technology component related to travel web sites. Learn the best time to travel, getting the best fares, hotels vs. B&B's, going it alone vs. a tour, local cuisine, coping with the local currency & sightseeing in England & Italy. Enjoy European food samples.
