A multi-county 4-H event is held each year called Science Sleepover. It is a program for 4-H girls, 4th - 6th grade. Peoria, Tazwell, Knox, Woodford and Marshall-Putnam join together for this program.

This year it was held at Wildlife Prairie Park. The focus was animal science. The event included a night hike, demonstration with live animals, hands on activities, a camp fire and sleepover at the park.

Nine Marshall-Putnam 4-Hers participated, plus two high schoolers served as group leaders.
