Master Gardener Volunteers

Master Gardeners receive 60 hours of training from mid-January to the end of March. Once trained, volunteers give time in a variety of ways such as answering questions through the information system, giving talks to groups, and working with community gardening programs.

Commitment includes successful completion of the training program and a minimum of 60 hours of volunteer service the first year. To continue being an active Master Gardener, educational updates and volunteer service hours are required.

Extension horticulture educators provide program support to Master Gardeners.
