Macoupin County Extension Council Meetings

The University of Illinois Extension - Macoupin County Council has named new members and elected officers. Chairperson is Jennifer Brown of Gillespie with other officers being Wanda Hammann from Carlinville as Vice Chairperson, Kristine Jarden of Bunker Hill as Secretary and Robert Quarton of Carlinville as Financial Reporter.

Other Council members are: Jan Cloud, Shipman; Annette Edwards, Girard; Doug Gaines, Worden; Calvin Helmkamp, Palmyra; David Humphreys, Carlinville; Edward Marburger, Mt. Olive; Eileen Nichols, Girard; David Sanson, Carlinville; Christine Simmons, Royal Lakes; Alice Tebbe, Mt. Olive; Delbert Walk, Carlinville and Renee Young, Carlinville.

The Extension Council comprised of local residents serves in an advisory capacity to the Extension staff to coordinate, organize, and plan programming in the county. The University of Illinois Extension provides the latest research results to develop educational programs that make life better, healthier, safer, and more rewarding for the residents of Macoupin County each year.

Future Extension Council meeting dates in 2009 are: January 27, April 28, June 23, and September 22.
