AgTech Conference to be Held in Belleville
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 6, 2009
Farmers, livestock producers and others in the agriculture industry are invited to an AgTech Conference sponsored by University of Illinois Extension on January 8. The conference is being held at Southwestern Illinois College, Belleville, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration opens at 9 a.m.
The program includes these topics: Practical ways to use GPS/GIS technology on the farm; using web soil surveys; free software and online tools; creating spreadsheets for your farm operation; using technology to monitor, feed and manage livestock; finding market information, weather forecasts and other practical information on the web; using eGov to do business at your local FSA office; and, the financial bottom line of using variable rate technology.
The conference registration fee by December 21 is $25, which includes lunch. Late and at-door registration is $30. Lunch is not guaranteed for on-site registration.
