The Extension Council comprised of local residents serves in an advisory capacity to the Extension staff to coordinate, organize, and plan programming in the county. The University of Illinois Extension provides the latest research results to develop educational programs that make life better, healthier, safer, and more rewarding for the residents of Macoupin County each year.

Chairperson is Jennifer Brown, Gillespie, with other officers being Wanda Hammann, Carlinville, as Vice Chairperson, Kristine Jarden, Bunker Hill, as Secretary and Robert Quarton, Palmyra, as Financial Reporter.
