How many times have you thought that you knew exactly what you wanted to do and then found out, no, that was not it, or perhaps you got sidetracked. The same holds true for job searching. Where as you might think that you know exactly what you are going after, when you get to the doorway of that opportunity, other things in life step in front of you. Always keep that portal open. Do not shut a door that might still bring sunshine and fresh air into your life. Many times we have seen individuals come into the office with just one goal in mind and then find that while learning that career another opportunity that was related presented itself and a new job is born. So always keep that door to job search opened wide, do not limit the scope or the chance of great things coming your way.

If you look at life as a tent, do you know the importance of tent poles? When putting up the tent, the tent poles are hard to deal with, they are cumbersome and yet without them, there is no tent. The tent poles are there for support. They are the backbone of the tent. They are the foundation of the cover against the storm while camping. Tent poles are in your every day life as well. They are there propping you up when times are tough. Do you know who and what your tent poles are?
