May Day used to be a day where the little ones would tie flowers to the door knobs of their neighbors. A spring welcoming of what was to come... the Showcase of summer. With that in mind, what have you done to remind others you are looking for a new position? Tying flowers to the doorknobs of your neighbors might not be what is needed. But how about a reminder note to those businesses that you sent a resume to and have not heard from? How about the interview that you had and did not follow up on? Now would be a good time to see what is happening and how you can offer more by contacting that interviewer and remind them of your skills and interest. It is not quite tying flowers to the doorknob, but it is reminding them of the wonderful things to come if they hire you.
If you look at life as a tent, do you know the importance of tent poles? When putting up the tent, the tent poles are hard to deal with, they are cumbersome and yet without them, there is no tent. The tent poles are there for support. They are the backbone of the tent. They are the foundation of the cover against the storm while camping. Tent poles are in your every day life as well. They are there propping you up when times are tough. Do you know who and what your tent poles are?
