The winter blues can beat anyone down, the trick is to beat them to the punch. If you find that you are sleeping in longer and not finding it as important to get dressed before noon, then you are slipping into habits that are not healthy for you during your time at home.

Exercise, visiting with friends and neighbors during the winter months is even more important as those are the days that are shorter on daylight hours, and longer on being separated from others due to weather. So be sure to maintain your routine of getting up and getting out even though the day or the weather might not seem to excite you. The blues can sneak in on you when you least expect them....so be prepared and turn them into a positive outlook!

If you look at life as a tent, do you know the importance of tent poles? When putting up the tent, the tent poles are hard to deal with, they are cumbersome and yet without them, there is no tent. The tent poles are there for support. They are the backbone of the tent. They are the foundation of the cover against the storm while camping. Tent poles are in your every day life as well. They are there propping you up when times are tough. Do you know who and what your tent poles are?
