Phyllis A. Herring
Extension Educator, EFNEP/FNP
Phyllis Herring received her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics Education from Eastern Illinois University, and her Master's degree in Human Resources and Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Nebraska.
Phyllis is active in her local church. She works with teenagers and also serves as an assistant in their local Family History Center.
Professional organizations include IEAFCS and Epsilon Sigma Phi. Herring received the IEAFCS Lois T. Mitchell Scholarship and the IEAFCS Caught At Your Best award.
Program Offerings
The purpose of the Family Nutrition Program (FNP)is to teach and promote safe and healthy eating for families on a budget.
The FNP educational programs available for all ages are: Basic nutrition education; Safe eating; Food budgeting.
Family Nutrition Programs are available at many of the following locations: Food stamp offices; WIC sites; Head Start sites; Food pantries; Community Centers; Libraries; Grocery stores; Commodity food sites; Housing authorities; Homeless shelters; Churches; Schools; Senior Citizen Centers; Extension offices. |
