Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
EFNEP is a federally funded program that began in 1969. Staff from the neighborhood are trained to provide education to:
- Families with young children
- School-aged children
When you enroll.....
- A staff member will come to your home/community agency.
- Together you will choose 6 to 12 lessons to learn.
- You can learn cooking skills.
- You can learn to feed yourself and your family healthy meals and snacks.
- You can learn to prepare and keep food safe.
- You can learn to manage your food dollars.
When you achieve your goals you graduate and receive a certificate.
EFNEP partners with:

- Food Stamp Offices
- Child Care Centers
- Schools
- Community Centers
- Churches
- Head Start
- Community Action
- Commodity Food Distribution Sites
