Macon County is the major hub of agricultural processing in Illinois. Macon County area farmers generate over $150 million from corn sales and $143 million from soybeans sales annually. Macon County also has the world's largest processor of corn and soybean products in the Midwest.

To support farmers and agricultural businesses, extension staff delivers educational programs in the following areas:
