John Fulton has been in Logan County since 1983. He received a bachelor of science in agriculture science from Western Illinois University and a master of science in agronomy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He comes from a true Extension family, with his mother being a former home economist and his wife currently employed with Extension in an adjoining county.
His current job description also includes 25 percent time commitment to agriculture and horticulture, in addition to his duties as county director. His county director duties include financial and staff oversight for the Logan County unit office, as well as program development and implementation.
He is a member of the Illinois Extension Agricultural Association (IEAA) and the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA). Fulton has received the IEAA/NACAA distinguished service program and media awards and the IPPA County Extension Award.
Fulton is active in the Logan County Pork Producers and the Logan County Farm Bureau.
