Field Crop Scouting Series

The 17th season has just concluded for the Field Crop Scouting Workshop Series. The series combines classroom education and hands-on scouting experience for area producers and agribusiness professionals every other week during the growing season. This year 98 attended, and 54 received continuing education credits towards CCA recertification. Six different farms or agribusinesses hosted sessions.

Master Gardeners

Logan County Master Gardeners

The Logan County Master Gardeners completed their third training session this year. There are currently 54 active Master Gardeners providing over 2000 hours of volunteer service each year for community projects. Projects have included school programs for education and beautification, maintenance in county parks, fairgrounds demonstration beds, garden donations to local food pantries through the "Plant A Row for the Hungry" program, and projects throughout the county by members.
