Program Offerings
Agriculture and Natural Resources
We provide educational opportunities to producers concerning crop production, soil fertility management, crop diseases, pest management, farm and business management, natural resource and erosion control, livestock, and water quality. Managing problem pests of Western Corn Rootworm and Soybean Cyst Nematodes (SCN) have been emphasized recently.
Horticulture & Home Gardening
Home lawn and garden programs cover various issues of interest to a homeowner. We offer research based on up-to-date information on lawn, garden, and fruit pest problems. We sponsor the Master Gardener Program in which volunteers receive 60 hours of intensive horticultural training and then provide horticultural information and instruction to county residents. |
