Our goal is to to help local officials:

• Understand the responsibilities of their office,
• Develop skills to assist them in carrying out their work and
• Deepen their understanding of specific issues they face.

LGIEN

• Provides educational programs for local government in Illinois.
• Develops applied research projects that assist local officials in creating local policy.
• Strengthens relationships between local government officials and University of Illinois Extension.
