Focus On: Pesticide Applicator Training & Testing
More than 200 Lee County agriculture producers are certified or recertified each year in pesticide application. These training and testing seminars teach proper and safe use of pesticides. Participants are updated on current chemical and nonchemical pest control methods, and recognize their contribution to public health protection and environmental stewardship. Following training, applicators and operators are more likely to refer to pesticide labels, use safety equipment and calibrate application equipment.
