Sheep Lead Line Contest

SHEEP LEAD LINE, 4 p.m. Showbarn

Superintendent: Lori Wetzel (815) 456-2724.

The objective of this event is to present a class of sheep in the most attractive manner. Competition is open to anyone. The participant must wear an outfit made of wool and lead a ewe or market lamb (no rams) that is properly fitted for show.

Contestants will be judged on the following:

  • Outfit 50%
  • Poise & Appearance 30%
  • Sheep Behavior & Appearance 20%

Resumes must be turned in by noon Saturday. Forms are available from the superintendent. Classes will be split according to the number of contestants. Prizes will be awarded to class winners.

Entry fee: $3.00 (payable to Sheep Lead Class)
