OUTREACH TO SPACE EXHIBIT
How will mankind finally reach out, beyond the confines of planet Earth, and explore the universe? Will we establish colonies in space, on orbiting space stations, or set up new homes on the Moon, Mars, and beyond? Come out and explore 10 to 12 fun, hands-on space science exhibits.
Hosted by Lee County Fair Association & Lee County Farm Bureau Lee County fairgoers are generous givers. That's what we hear from the American Red Cross. This blood drive is consistently one of their busiest. Donors must be 16 and older. Sixteen year-olds must have a parent's permission. Forms will be available the day of the drive. To make an appointment, call the Lee Co. Farm Bureau at (815) 857-3525 or just walk-in the day of the drive. This year we'll give away a $25.00 gas card to Shell Stations to one lucky donor!
PRINCESS TEA, 3:30 p.m. Auditorium
Bring the little princesses out for a cup of punch, cookies and cookie decorating. Make your own crown and leave with a wand, too.

Let the guys stare at tractors. We've got more for the ladies. Vendors include Tastefully Simple, Uppercase Living, Mary Kay, Purse Addiction, Stampin' Up, UsBorn Books, and more. "Chef" Christi Dallam shares the secret of pavlova and shows how to use garden produce for dazzling summer dishes. Plus door prizes, raffle and more.
CRUISE NIGHT sponsored by 3-D Sound Company, 6 p.m.
4th Annual Cruisin' to the Fair Cruise Night. Drive in, drive around and spend an evening at the fair with other auto enthusiasts. Trophies given to Best Ford, Best Chevrolet, Best Chrysler, Best Truck & Fair Association Blue Ribbon Award.

CLASS ACT II BIG BAND, 7 p.m. Auditorium
A fair favorite returns to the Auditorium for another round of great 1940s' big band hits including jazz, swing and rock. This 19-piece band will have your feet tappin' and your neighbor dancin' before the night is done.

Local miniature race car enthusiasts treat crowds to a high-energy, thrill ride through a race course filled with obstacles.
CELEBRITY SHOWMANSHIP CONTEST, 7:30 p.m. Showbarn
We know 4-Hers can show off their animals, but how well can adults accomplish the task? Local mayors, city council members, school officials, and other "celebrities" take the challenge. See Richard Boris, village president of Lee; Adam Herwig, State FFA Treasurer, and Nancy Kelly, Amboy City Council take the challenge. More celebrities to come!

Join us for a great rodeo story. Bring the story alive and make your own stick horse for the Stick Horse Rodeo! Cost is $2.00 (for Rodeo Round-up). Open for kids age 4 to 7.
STICK HORSE RODEO, 3 p.m. Show Tent
The newest hit of the fair is back for another year. Every young child wants to be a cowboy or cowgirl at some time. This is their chance! Come dressed to ride a stick horse in several rodeo-style events. Great prizes and great fun for everyone. Bring your own stick horse or create your own at the Rodeo Stock Round-up.
SHEEP LEAD LINE, 4 p.m. Showbarn
Download a registration form under "Forms & Dowloads". Superintendent: Lori Wetzel (815) 456-2724. The objective of this event is to present a class of sheep in the most attractive manner. Competition is open to anyone. The participant must wear an outfit made of wool and lead a ewe or market lamb (no rams) that is properly fitted for show.

GUITAR HERO CONTEST, 7:30 p.m. Auditorium
Can you rock the fair? Pick up a guitar or drum sticks, play a chord on the keyboard and let your musical side go. For ages 8 to 19 in a single elimination format. Choose your skill level at registration. Registration starts at 6 p.m.

TOUCH-A-TRUCK, 1 p.m.
Every little boy and girl wonders what it would be like to sit behind the wheel of a BIG truck. Now they can. Dump trucks, cement mixers, semis, garbage trucks, street sweepers, fire trucks, and more!
MASTER CORN GROWER CONTEST, 1 p.m. Patio
Local seed corn companies and the Lee County Fair Association are teaming up to find the Master Corn Grower in Northern Illinois. Adults and youth are invited to join this fun competition. Bring your tallest corn plant to the Lee County 4-H Fair and Jr. Show for measurement by the Corn Master. See page "Celebrate King Corn Sunday" for more information.
PEDAL PULL, 1 p.m. Showbarn

Tug-O-War hosted by Illinois Firestore, 1 p.m. Pit Area
Watch area fire departments use their fire-fighting skills in a tug-o-war. Open to teams of 3 from area fire departments. Register with the Illinois Firestore at (815) 857-2000. $25.00 registration fee with proceeds benefitting Lee County Fair Association. Trophies awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
CORN HUSKING CONTEST, 2 p.m. Patio
Sweet corn is the best summer treat. How fast can you husk the ear? Corn donated by Del-Monte.
CORN BOIL benefitting Lee Co. Fair Association, 3 p.m. Patio
Hope the corn huskers do a good job because the corn hits the pot at 3 p.m. Finish the fair with an ear of corn. $1.00 for one ear; $5.00 for six ears. As you leave the fair purchase a dozen or more to take home and enjoy—$3.00 for a dozen. Proceeds benefit the Lee County Fair Association.
