Volunteer Opportunities

University of Illinois Extension provides practical, research-based information and programs to help individuals, families, farms, businesses and communities in Illinois. Its mission in short, is to help the citizens of Illinois put knowledge to work. The contribution of volunteers in the following areas is essential to the achievement of this mission.

Volunteer opportunities with our office include:

  • 4-H Cloverbud Organizational Leader
The 4-H Cloverbud program is open to any youth 5-7 by September 1 of the current 4-H year. Cloverbud clubs meet at least six times throughout the year.

  • 4-H Organizational Leader
Would you like to work with youth ages 8-18 years old? Start a 4-H Club in Lawrence or Richland County.

  • 4-H Youth Program
4-H is a voluntary, informal educational program for boys and girls ages 8-18.

All volunteers working with youth are screened prior to undertaking assignments.
