Poultry Show

4-H Poultry

To be judged 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 10

RULES

1. Read all General Rules for 4-H Show.

2. Each exhibitor must be enrolled in the project in which exhibiting.

3. Each exhibitor may show Meat, Egg, Light, Heavy, Bantam, Geese, Ducks,

Turkey or other breeds. Two entries in individual classes, and one entry in pen

class, per breed. No more than four birds in any breed. Exhibitors are limited to a maximum of 30 poultry in any combination.

4. Birds shown in the individual classes may compose a part of a pen exhibit. For meat breeds only -- 3 females may compose a pen. All other breeds will have a pen of 2 females and 1 male.

5. Age limitations:

Chickens hatched during present year

Ducks, Geese& Other Fowl Young Birds, hatched during present year

Aged Birds hatched in past year or before

6. Aged birds MUST have a negative pullorum-typhoid test within 90 days prior

to the exhibition.

7. Exhibitors must be present to show birds, or birds will not be judged.

8. All birds must have numbered leg bands.

9. Exhibitor must place birds in pens assigned or they cannot be shown. Fowl

removed from pens or from fairgrounds before 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12 will

forfeit all Premiums in the Department and will relinquish any trophies or other

honors received. Must be removed by 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12.

10. Bring egg exhibits to fairgrounds on show day.
