Lessons for Living, Public Speaking Volunteers

Individuals interested in giving public presentations are taught "Lesson for Living" programs by University of Illinois Extension Educators. They can in turn present the information to community groups, senior centers, libraries, or Mom's clubs. Training guides and participant handouts are provided by Extension. The Lake County Association for Home and Community Education has partnered with Extension for seven (7) decades through this program. "Lessons for Living" titles include "Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate," "Telephone Options," "Women and Heart Disease," "Living In a Digital Economy," and numerous other topics in the area of home and family education.
