"Dining with Diabetes" Program ~ Presented in Spanish

In partnership with University of Illinois Extension, Lake County Extension Unit now offers a 6-week diabetes education program presented in Spanish. Called "Dining with Diabetes", this workshop includes:

• diabetes education
• recipes
• cooking demonstrations
• glucose testing
• diet guidelines

An interactive feature allows one to plan a meal and then learn how that meal matches up with diabetic diet requirements.
