Volunteers Inspire by Example here at University of Illinois Extension by teaching others, leading 4-H clubs, serving on advisory committees and the Extension Council and many other opportunities. Volunteer opportunities with our office include:
4-H Club Organizational Leader Become a 4-H community club leader to help youth learn life skills. A 4-H club consists of one adult volunteer and at least five youth (ages 8 to 18).
Knox County 4-H General Show Committee A volunteer (youth or adult) on this committee helps to plan, implement, and evaluate the 4-H General Show to offer a quality educational experience for 4-H members.
All volunteers working with youth are screened prior to undertaking assignments.
