Black Hawk East College hosted its annual Horse Judging Contest on April 30. There were 3 junior teams, 15 senior teams, and several individuals. The Knox County 4-H Junior Horse Team consisting of Breanne Norton, Abi Winbigler, Elena Jimenez, Emma Jimenez, and Nick Robinson all of the Rusty Spurs 4-H club placed first overall in the Junior Division. Norton won the junior division as individual and Winbigler placed fourth as individual.
The Knox County Senior Horse Team placed fifth overall. The team consisted of Miranda Malone, Cloverleaf; Alison and Louis Riesing, both from the Rusty Spurs. Malone placed fourth overall as individual.
