University of Illinois Extension provides Knox County with a wide variety of research-based information and program opportunities. The Knox County staff along with center educators work with all ages of individuals in agencies, organizations, families, communities and businesses to help them learn the most recent findings in topics ranging from water quality to food safety to landscaping to leadership development. Along with community members and center educators, the county educators identify, analyze and prioritize the issues affecting local citizens. Extension's goal is to "help people put knowledge to work."
