Extension in Kendall County covers the four program areas of: Agriculture and Natural Resources; Community and Economic Development; Family and Consumer Sciences, and 4-H/Youth Development. Agriculture and Natural Resources program area works with local farmers and community to enhance income and production while protecting the environment. Extension works with volunteer groups, community leaders and government officials to help them find ways to make their community stronger in the community and economic development program area. The Family and Consumer Sciences program area helps families to learn how to better manage their money, communicate with family and prevent diet related health problems. The 4-H/Youth Development program area's goal is to reach all youth of Kendall County through traditional 4-H, school enrichment, after school and community outreach.
