4-H Holiday Workshop Dec. 5
A Workshop Day filled with Holiday food, fun painting and visual arts activities is set for Dec. 5 at the Extension office. See enclosed flyer for details and registration
4-H Club Officers Training Planned
A special officers training for 4-H youth will be held November 12, at the Extension Office. Adults along with youth together are encouraged to attend this training beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will have activities designed to teach the basics of leadership for youth and adults. This is critical information that all 4-H officers and leaders will need to learn. We are offering this workshop instead of the regular Officer's Training so adults can attend with officers.
We plan to enjoy our time together with team building games and refreshments. Since there is no cost to participate, you just need to register by calling the Extension Office at 630-553-5823 by November 6.
Another Workshop Day Offered
Sally Cooper will be teaching a pillow top piecing workshop on February 15 from 9 am to noon at the office. Youth ages 8-18 will be able to sew a pieced pillow top and learn how to finish the pillow. Cost of the workshop is $5and is limited to 10 participants. Participants need to bring scissors that cut fabric, a threaded sewing machine and a helper, if you do not know how to work the machine.
Also on February 15, Hannah Ward will be offering a snowman figurine workshop, Cydney Olah will teach Twae Kon Do and Mark Fitzgerald will offer a workshop making a wooden project. Anyone else who is looking to teach a workshop for fun or leadership, call Kim at the office. More information and class registration forms will be available in the January-February newsletter.
