If you would like to know more about horses then the Horse Bowl team is a place for you. The Horse Bowl team is being formed now. This group of 4-H youth practices learning information and answering questions about horses. They compete in the Regional Horse Bowl in March. There are two parts of the contest: Hippology, which is done individually. The Horse Bowl part is team questions. A team consists of 4-5 players. There are 2-3 age levels to compete. If interested, contact Tammy Brigel at 630-554-8114. Practices will begin this winter and run through the Regional Horse Bowl Contest being held in March either the 13 or 20^th in DuPage County.

4-H livestock and other animal exhibitors must have owned and personally cared for their project from the latest starting date for the project listed below.

Horse/Pony, Goats, Meat, Kids & Yearling May 1

Poultry, Rabbits May 1

Sheep, Wethers May 15

Sheep, Breeding, Ewes & Lambs - Dogs June 1

4-H'ers need to be enrolled in the appropriate project by April 1, 2010, and have their animals in their own possession by the deadlines listed above.
