Adriana Ocampo is a space geologist. Watch the video and learn how she confirmed the presence of the Chicxulub crater in Southern Mexico. Students will study craters and learn how craters take shape and the patterns they make. They can make a crater model and test the effects of weather on its surface and explore the vast span of geological time. Finallypairs of students make a set of geological layers (strata) and take notes thenswap strata, take core samples, read layers and write a history of what happened.
