"All my expenses cost more than I ever really thought!" is a comment expressed by young participants. This active, hands-on real-life simulation givesparticipantsan opportunity to explore career opportunities and make choicesadults face on a daily basis and evaluate their choices.

Students will:

• Explore potential careers, select a career and receive a monthly salary
• Participate in a "Real World" simulation (deduct taxes, determine savings, and spend "salary" on necessities and luxuries for their chosen lifestyle)
• Learn check writing, account balancing, savings, budgeting and developing a spending plan

Instructional Materials Provided: Instructor's Guide and Fact Sheets. Extension staff may be available to assist in teaching portions of this program.

Cost: ON A LOAN BASIS. Schools will need to secure educational pads of checks.
