Master Gardeners Learn........

about many different facets of indoor and outdoor gardening. A combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experiences are used to present information about topics including:
Basic botany
Composting
Fertilizers
Pest and disease control
Trees and shrubs
Pesticide safety
Lawns
Soils
Culture and care of flowers
Houseplants
Fruits and vegetables
University of Illinois Extension, Kankakee County, will be offering the Master Gardener Course in 2010. Classes will meet every Tuesday between January 5, 2010 and March 23, 2010. Each class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If interested, call University of Illinois Extension, Kankakee County at 815/933-8337 for more information. Applicants will be interviewed beginning in October. Seating is limited.
