4-H Bicycle Rodeo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 17, 2009

Seven 4-H'ers enrolled in the 4-H Bicycle Project participated in the 4-H Bicycle Rodeo held at University of Illinois Extension Office. The 4-H Bicycle Rodeo consists of a written test, safety check, skill driving tests, and test on knowledge of maintenance and adjustment procedures. Due to rain the Rodeo was held inside the Extension Office.

Receiving a trophy:

Level I – Elliott Dombrowski, KC HEY 4-H Club

Level II – Cambria Dotson, Manteno Best Pioneers 4-H Club

Planning and coordinating of the 4-H Bicycle Rodeo is done by the Kankakee County 4-H Projects Committee. Safety Check was administered by Darrel Smith, Kankakee County Sheriff's department. Other volunteers assisted with the driving skill test areas and the adjustment and maintenance practice areas.
