Kankakee County 4-H Garden Tractor Rodeo

Seven 4-H'ers participated in the 2009 4-H Garden Tractor Rodeo held on Wednesday,

July 29, 2009 in the Farm Machinery Expo area at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds.

Participating in the Level I (8-11 year olds) Division:

• Keith Bauer, Kids With Kids
• Dustin Love, Bonfield Handy Helpers

Participating in the Level II (11-13 year olds) Division:

• Maxwell Gossett, Newcomers

Participating in the Level III (14-18 year olds) Division

• Mike Flores, St. George Dragons
• Jason Paarlberg, Manteno Best Pioneers
• Brendan Suprenant, St. George Dragons
• Nick Veld, St. George Dragons

Trophy winners:

• Level I – Keith Bauer, Kids With Kids
• Level II – Maxwell Gossett, Newcomers
• Level III - Brendan Surprenant.

oordinators of the event were Ron Wildman and Kevin Yohnka. Judges were from Stoller Equipment. The lawn tractor was furnished by Stoller Implement, Herscher. Components of the rodeo involve a written test, driving skills test, safety procedures, maintenance procedures, and parts identification.
