Vet Detective

April 14, 15, & 16 (Spring Break)

Location: Kankakee Community Resource Center

Program Description: Be a detective to unlock the secrets of how animals function. Use hands-on activities, videos, and art to compare domestic and wild animal systems. Learn how wild animals are studied. Imagine yourself as a veterinarian.

Appropriate Age: 8 to 13

Putting the Youth Back in Youth Sports

Program Description: Are youth sports still for the youth? Participate in this presentation to learn how to keep the focus of sports programs on the youth they serve. If you are a parent or coach for any youth sports activity come find out how to help youth make the most of their sports participation.

College 101

Program Description: Get the scoop on the real essentials for college life. Go beyond the dorm room and prepare yourself for college reality. Topics include professors, roommates, social life and everything you want to know. Prepare yourself for success with this 2 hour workshop on College 101.

Appropriate Age: High School Seniors attending college in the fall.
