Master Gardeners
Kankakee County's 22 Master Gardeners provided over 175 presentations on home horticulture. They answered gardening questions for nearly 1,500 individuals by phone or at area events. Master Gardeners assisted with therapeutic gardening for 94 elderly adults and 20 individuals with disabilities.
Sixty individuals attended horticulture telenets to learn more about holiday plants, spring wildflowers, and common lawn/garden weed identification.
