General Projects

In this section, you will find 4-H exhibit requirements for the 2009 Kane County Fair related to the other 4-H project areas which do not include live animals or livestock. This area is commonly referred to as General Projects.

• Cloverbuds (for enrolled youth, ages 5-7)
• Animal & Vet Science
• Community Involvement & Global Awareness -- includes exhibits for Citizenship, Service Learning, Intercultural (i.e. Passport to the World), and Leadership
• Natural Resources & Environment -- includes exhibits for Natural Resources, Wildlife, Outdoor Adventures, Sportfishing, Entomology, Forestry, and Geology
• Mechanical Sciences -- includes exhibits for Aerospace, Computers, Electricity, GPS/Geospatial, Robotics, Small Engines, Tractor, Welding, and Woodworking
• Bicycle Safety Rodeo
• Plants & Soils -- includes exhibits for Crops, Floriculture, Horticulture, and Plant & Soil Sciences
• Communications -- includes exhibits for Communications, Journalism, and Photography
• Visual Arts
• Clothing & Textiles -- includes exhibits for Sewing & Textiles, Clothing Decisions, and Fashion Revue
• Child Development
• Interior Design
• Food & Nutrition
• Miscellaneous -- includes exhibits for Health, Consumer Education (i.e. Financial Champions, Consumer Savvy, Entrepreneurship), Intergenerational (i.e. Walk in My Shoes), and Theatre Arts
