This program includes a variety of arts and crafts activities for youth. Below is a summary of the curriculum.
Unit 1 – Cutting and Pasting includes activities: Painting with Paper and Milk Glue, Connecting to Our Puzzle, Scissors Snipping, Pop-Up Pizzazz, Books Tell a Story.
Unit 2 – Drawing includes Mural Madness; Smokey, Spooky Shadows; Ordinary Object, Extraordinary Creatures; Great New Invention, Assembly Required; & Go, Drawing Go.
Unit 3 – Painting includes Musical Fingers, Spinning the Color Wheel of Fortune, Brushing Up, Marbling Swirls, and Art on the Go: Visiting a Museum.
Unit 4 – Sculpting includes Sculptor and Clay; Pass the Sculpture, Please; Pots Potpourri; Papier Mache; Exploring Flex Power and Art to Jewelry.
Unit 5 – Printing includes All Fingers, Thumbs, and Hands; Sponge Fun; Prints from the Garden; Stencil Fun; Block Printing and Screen Printing.
Unit 6 – Fiber includes Hand Made Paper, Batik, Nine Patch Quilt, Warp and Weft of Life and What a Twilling Weave.
Unit 7 – 3-D Construction includes Balloon Train; Mirror, Mirror Now and Later; Scrap Sculpturing; States-A-Float and Window on My World.
