Beneath the City of Ooze

In this second story, the worms dive into the storm sewers, giving readers a worm's eye-view of storm water pollution. The worm's mission in this story is to find out was is gunking up drinking water from wells and to stop it! By the end of this mission, the reader will understand storm water pollution and ways to control it.

Instructional Materials:

The Hands-on Science kit, Beneath the City of Ooze, includes student booklet, Secret Agent Worms temporary tattoos, activity sheets, poster, teacher's guide and E.A.R.T.H. membership cards. The Hands-on Science Kit is available ON A LOAN BASIS from the University of Illinois Extension Office. The kit may be purchased for $210; teacher's packet for $40; and 10 copies of The Disappearing Earth book for $36. Costs do not include shipping and handling.
