This set of instructional materials for grades K - 3 promises to sow the seeds of history, science, culture, crafts and nutrition through one of the world's most miraculous plants, corn. Each of the five lessons unfolds easy to learn, enjoyable activities about people, their foods, agricultural sciences, songs, and stories. Never mind that you never gave corn a second thought in the past. You will find this set of materials informative, fun for children and bright change from traditional ideas. Family corn-ers complement the materials so that kids and parents can participate in additional learning experiences at home. These materials are designed to meet the needs of migrant children learning in the shade of the pick-up truck to youth in state-of-the-art classrooms.

The packaged kit contains high-impact video tapes, software games, group activity guide, experiential activities, stories, and songs in a mix or match lesson format. This is available on a loan basis only. Cost of materials is $40.
