Myrtle De Loach is the county Extension director for University of Illinois Extension in Jefferson County. She holds a master's of science degree in education and a bachelor's of arts degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

In her role, De Loach oversees Extension programs in four broad areas: Nutrition and Wellness; Family and Consumer Sciences; Community and Economic Development; Agriculture and Natural Resources; and 4-H/Youth Development.

Myrtle is a member of the Illinois Extension Association of Family and Consumer Science, Illinois Partnership for Cancer Prevention and Control, and Jefferson County Business and Professional Women. Myrtle is a registered nurse and has served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps.
