Mark Maidak has been Unit Leader for University of Illinois Extension Jo-Carroll Unit since July, 1999. Prior to joining Jo-Carroll, Mark served as Unit Leader in Stephenson County since 1996.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois; and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mark is active with numerous community organizations and groups serving on several boards and committees. Of note, Mark has been instrumental in facilitating the formation of the Northern Illinois Winegrowers and the Land and Farm Preservation Coalition of Jo Daviess County, two new organizations bringing together people of mutual interests.
