State 4-H Award Judging - the state 4-H office is looking for volunteers for the State 4-H Awards Judging on January 30, at 9:00 a.m. at the Springfield Extension Center at the state fairgrounds. If any adult is interested in volunteering, please contact the Extension Office by December 17.
4-H Premier LCP Award - The Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates announce the 2009-2010 Premier LCP Award. The award is for older 4-H members for outstanding leadership, citizenship, cooperation and professionalism during the past 4-H year. Applicants must be at least 17 by December 1, 2009. The winners receive a trip to the Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates 2-day Premier 2009 Leadership Conference. For more information or an application, contact the Extension Office.

Please take a few minutes to check out the new sections of the site: About 4-H, Members, Volunteers, Give to 4-H, Parents, Teachers, Cloverbuds, 4-H Military and 4-H After School. Rural Youth Loans - Farm Service Agency is offering Rural Youth Loans to 10 - 20 year old 4-H, FFA or similar organizational members. The project must be organized and supervised by an advisor, 4-H/FFA; must be able to produce sufficient income to repay the loan and the youth must be provided practical business and educational experience. 4-H House Cooperative Sorority - High school senior girls thinking of going to U of I next fall should consider the 4-H House Cooperative Sorority. Membership eligibility is as follows:
· Plan to attend or currently attend the U of I at Urbana-Champaign
· Want a fun & economical place to live
· Have 5 years of 4-H membership
