The Master Gardener program in the Jasper/Cumberland Unit has trained over 35 individuals over the past twelve to fifteen years. There are currently 21 registered as Master Gardeners in Cumberland County and 13 in Jasper.

Master Gardeners volunteer up to 60 hours in repayment for the training and services provided during the thirteen-week training period. Some of the voluntary efforts include: writing informative articles; delivering educational presentations to clubs or groups; assisting with public gardens or horticultural projects; and developing horticultural lesson plans.
