4-H members who were 10 years of age by September 1, 2008 are eligible to compete at the Illinois State Fair.
Members exhibiting general show projects must be chosen as a state fair delegate to show on Jasper County's day at the fair August 15.
Members wishing to show livestock, including rabbits, poultry, beef, sheep, swine and goats must enter by July 1 to be eligible to show.
Gate Passes:
Members will have the opportunity to purchase gate and admission passes from the Extension Office at a reduced rate for August 15 as well as the other days you will be showing at the Illinois State Fair.
Families not attending the State Fair to show a project or an animal can also purchase passes at a reduced rate for any day throughout the fair simply by contacting the Jasper County Extension by July 10.
Members showing livestock for the first time at the State Fair must complete a quality assurance and ethics course online by July 1. Links for livestock entry forms and quality assurance and ethics can be found on the on the website for your convenience.
