The 4-H BBQ is quickly approaching! There are many things that need to be done before, during and after the event. With the retirement of Don, there are several places you can volunteer. There is a lot of planning and organization that goes into this event. If you would be willing to help out the afternoon before, please contact the Extension Office! We need a trailer and hope to start around 3:00 p.m. This is a TEAM effort and together this will be a GREAT BBQ! We have not heard from anyone yet, so we are still looking for help!!!!
Club Leaders, please make sure you have sent in your worker list for the BBQ! Those were due May 29th. We need those soon to get worker lists compiled. Remember, you may not have the job you signed up for. Jobs are assigned as the lists came into the office.
On Saturday, May 30th 4-H members, parents and Extension Staff worked together to help make someone's day a little brighter. We worked on pillowcases for the ConKerr Cancer project. We made 23 pillowcases of different patterns and colors. We also worked on blankets for the Project Linus program. During this effort we completed 10 fleece tie blankets. It was a great morning of sewing and making items for children with needs and cancer. Thank you to those who brought sewing machines and attended the workshop! I enjoyed myself, I hope you did too!!!!
