Master Gardeners

Jackson County Master Gardeners Rita Cook, Ben Huntley, and Carol Reppy were on hand at the 2006 Lawn and Garden Show in Marion to answer questions for homeowners.

Master Gardeners share their special interests in horticulture and the skills they acquire in Master Gardener training with the community in various ways. They answer plant and gardening questions from homeowners. They help design and operate exhibits,displays and demonstrations. And, they make presentations to both large and small groups.

University of Illinois Extension in Jackson County will host the 2006 Master Gardener training beginning January through April. An application to become a Master Gardener is available in the link below:
